The title is actually in reference to an old roommate of mine is said he would work out for 2.5 - 3 hours when he went and worked out. To me this just doesn't seem possible, and if it is possible you should look a whole let better then said roommate ended up looking. Based upon a new roommates regimen which only takes an hour or so, sure he may just be maintaining is sleek figure, but seriously I think an hour is all you need. Now that I have admitted to checking out other guys figures I will continue on to what this post is supposed to be about.
My job is really boring. While, I think the end product is cool and some of the steps along the way are neat as well, I just get real bored real quickly. The problem is I have something like 33 projects this is more then most have, granted mine are a little easier, but still having to manage 33 clients is quite the task. You have to email, call, create the project plan, and check up on all the details that go into building a site. I know I will probably regret saying this as it will probably be found by someone who works with me, but it seems like there is a lot of downtime. Maybe it is me not having enough work, or maybe I am just doing a thorough enough job, I really don't know, but I honestly just don't see how doing what I need to do takes the whole day everyday. During that downtime I often journey to many other websites, and while for most of you slackers out there that would be considered well for lack of a better work slacking off. I consider it research to find what I enjoy looking at in a website, I have noticed I have a much more critical eye when I look at websites now, and it is rather annoying. I notice the navigation and the title tags and just everything that gets pounded into my head on a daily basis. So, I guess the question I ask is, is everyone really working 100% of the time like they appear to be, am I the only one who has this downtime, or is everyone able to do what they will for the majority of their day? I mean honestly I would prefer a lot less downtime as it makes the clock tick a lot slower, this morning flew by as I wrote a project plan for a new client of mine, now this afternoon is just taking forever. It seems as though I am dragging this blog on because honestly I think I have lost my train of thought as well as just trying to make it longer for something to do.

At my old job I had absolutely no downtime, and it was great because like you said - the clock doesn't tick and the day is over. At my current job I have a decent chunk of downtime and it totally sucks. The day goes so slowly, so I totes feel you, frealz. Whenever I have a lot of downtime and work for a larger company, I'll just ask for more work. Or you could work on client relations and building the partnership and making more contacts.
You're right about the working out thing. If you're doing something like weight lifting, the body can only go for an hour or hour and 15 minutes before you hit a point when it's doing nothing for you (dependent on time spent between sets).
I imagine cardio is different though, and the more you run/bike the more calories you'll burn, without hitting a "wall". Of course, until you get to the point where you pass out.
Altough one would want to be careful because you can trick your body's metabolism into thinking that you burn that many calories all the time, increasing your urge to eat more (to replace burned calories) and if that regimine is not maintained...well, one would be back to weight gain.
A modest workout regimine (3-5 hours/week), paired with a diet designed for one's metabolism (everyone is different - genetics), is all one really needs unless you're a professional athlete.
he totally only did cardio. that coupled with his one meal per day was perhaps the worst regimen ever. then again, i think he was working out more or less to say he did and not to really improve the look of his body.
that and drinking tons of pop will generally kill ones physique.
